Can't Bear the Heat

Right, so this title isn't just a really bad pun. I'm getting sudden fever again, a lot like the last #sickness post I had on here, but as always fever is a cause for panic for me -- I've had dengue fever once, so a second time would bring me like inches away from the death zone. Not that I mind that much -- I've lived a good life, and I've been recalling the highs and lows and little details of it by dumping every last juicy bit of my memories into a Word document. It's great, try it out someday.

Anyway, here's the long-awaited (by me) model of a teddy bear, wooo!

There's a surprising lot of girly fun with simulated hair/fur -- you get to comb it, puff it up and comb it again! So this is what it's like to be a Brony. But honestly, to all the Bronies out there (if you're still existing/alive) come over and do it in Blender, it's much better with all the customizables like hair length, comb radius and...er...puff radius.

Bit of a shame that the limbs on the left got a bit wispy from some improperly combed fur, but they'll do. This monster of an image took my flimsy featherweight laptop nearly an hour to render, and only at 300-sample resolution - less than all the ones I've posted so far.

So -- I'm getting closer and closer to character animation! Just a couple more 3D texts and photorealistic objects to get really comfortable with Blender.
