Blender Theory: Balls to the Wall

Alright -- so Blender 3D: Noob to Pro turned out to be quite tedious. I suppose describing all the basic commands found in a very complex software seems like a logical way to write a guidebook, but it really does scare the beginner in me. Maybe this works as another sort of skill gate/filter, just like software packaging in CS? Losers this way out, anyone else who shaved the yak clean -- welcome! Hopefully it's a smoother ride beyond the welcome sign, because yak-shaving is especially painful when you're learning something all alone (as opposed to in class where everyone can groan together acapella-style).
On a brighter note, here's some pool balls I totally didn't lift from that amazing Youtube tutorial series!

They're beautiful.
Seriously can't wait till character animation :>
